Welcome to PLC Programming at the University of Skövde

At the University of Skövde you can learn how to program programmable logic controllers (PLC). This is done with video lectures and the use of two free software which are linked together. CoDeSys is a software where you write and run PLC programs. The code runs against virtual systems in Simumatik 3D where you can see your code perform its functions.

The rest of the year some of the university video material is available to you who are interested in learning PLC programming in this way.

Under the menu selection "modules", on the left, you will find two modules with the following content:

Lecture module

Here you will find a selection of video lectures in English. You get an introduction to CoDeSys and the programming languages ladder diagram and structured text.

CoDeSys & Simumatik 3D module

In this module you will find information about downloading and connecting CoDeSys and Simumatik 3D. There is also some troubleshooting information and a few user tips.
